AI agents, a more advanced form of AI chatbots, are predicted to become prevalent in 2025.  These agents will automate tasks by interacting with various applications and data sources on a user's behalf, improving efficiency in both personal and professional settings.

Major tech companies like Microsoft and Google are already developing and implementing these agents, showing promising results in areas such as IT support and sales.

While initial applications will focus on simpler, enterprise-level tasks, more sophisticated agents capable of complex, multi-step actions are expected to emerge gradually.  

The overall aim is to streamline workflows and reduce time spent on tedious chores.
