The internship program we have developed at 4Geeks intends to exposed senior students, to similar scenarios to those they will face in their first job opportunities. So, they will improve their professional experience. Allan has done an excellent job at the Payments project and we all the team his thankful for his contributions.

I asked him a few questions, to know him better. Let’s check out what he has to say…

How will you describe yourself?

Personally, describe me is something that I don’t do very often, so this is the kind of question that let me think a lot but, I consider myself as an empathic person who likes to help people whenever I can, someone who tries to be better as a human and as a professional in terms of work each day. I like to learn and share knowledge.

How do you enjoy your free time?

I like to play soccer and videogames with friends in my free time. Friends are a very important part when I play videogames (and obviously when I play soccer), otherwise, I get bored very fast. I also believe that music moves a lot of feelings inside me so, listen to music with headphones or speakers is another thing that I enjoy all the time.

Best series you have ever watched?
  • Friends
  • Breaking Bad
  • The Walking Dead
  • Brooklyn Nine-Nine
  • Animes and a lot of Cartoon Network show, if those fit in this question.
Mountain or the beach?

Beach.

Do you practice any sports (adventure, extreme, endurance)?

Soccer is the only sport that I practice often, but also enjoy watching sports like basketball and UFC.

What kind of music do you like?

Well, actually I don’t know if it is weird, but I like Hip-Hop/Rap (in English and Spanish) and Reggae/Roots very much but also, I could listen Reggaeton, Pop, Bachata, Salsa, Merengue, Trap, R&B, and different types of Rock.

What are your top books of all the time?

Honestly, I have never read an entire book.

What are your top 5 movies of all the time?

Difficult question, I will say Inception, Interstellar, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Revenant, Constantine.

What is the most exciting part of being a Software Engineer?

For me, in my short experience, the most exciting part of being a software engineer is when I see something done… I mean, it could be a simple thing or a whole program finished but when I test that piece of software and it works properly, is exciting.

What are your goals for this year?

In 2021, I wish to be able to graduate from university, get a job to be more independent and help in my home with household expenses, improve my English skills.

It was very entertaining to read about Allan. I concluded that he would be a very good token for 4Geeks’ Music Room.
