In our Internship Program, the batch of interns has worked on different projects. Joel has been working on Payments as a Software Engineer, in order to expose him to real job scenarios and projects, to increase their professional experience.
I asked a few questions, to everybody know him better. Let’s see what he has to say.
How will you describe yourself?
I think a good description for myself, would be a very considered person and very empathetic, that try to be better every day, I also like to help people, and I think that’s the reason why I like to learn a lot so I can be more helpfull, I also feel like i am kind of shy so i need to work on that.
How do you enjoy your free time?
I like to play video games, watch movies, I also use some of my free time a to learn new things, lately I been playing chess and I trying to spend some of my free time reading.
Best series you have ever watched?
- Breaking Bad.
- Peaky Blinders.
- Fullmetal Alchemist
- Hunter x Hunter.
Mountain or the beach?
Beach, because I feel like you have to walk a lot in the mountain and I am I little bet lazy.
Do you practice any sports (adventure, extreme, endurance)?
I use to play a lot of soccer back in high school, but not anymore.
Which kind of music do you like?
I listen a lot of music and very variety, like Rap, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Rock, Pop, but in general I listen all genres.
What are your top books of all the time?

What is the most exciting part of being a Software Engineer?
For me one of the things that I like most about my career is that you can create things from zero, all you need is a computer and your mind and you can create amazing things just with that, also when you do a software and it works, and people start using it, is like you make someone’s live easier that’s pretty exciting.
What are your goals for this year?
I would like to get my bachelor's degree, get a job in my area so I could help my family with the bills, also keep getting better as a person.
We really enjoy writing and reading about our team members and always learn new things from our team, even if we don't work directly. There are still many members to meet, stay tuned.
