The Internship Program in the Commercial Department aims to put into practice the technical knowledge and skills of final year students from different careers. Kathleen has been working in the Growth Unit, where she has been able to highlight her responsibility, resilience and professionalism.

We asked her a few questions to get to know her better. Let's see what she has to say.

How will you describe yourself?

This is the most difficult question ever, but I consider myself a happy, active, resilient, committed, a bit sleepy, very persistent, but above all tolerant and loving. I do not let myself be easily defeated and I like to always have my goals set.

How do you enjoy your free time?

I usually don’t have free time, I spend part of my time working or studying , but when I can, I LOVE to watch construction programs, HGTV is my favorite channel, I could watch it all day, also reading is one of my favorite activities during my free time.

Best series you have ever watched?

  1. Grey's Anatomy
  2. Gossip Girl
  3. Sweet Magnolias
  4. Dead to me
  5. Chesapeake shores
  6. Dream Home Make Over
  7. Property Brothers ( all the editions)
  8. The Crown

I can mention more, but a think this is my top 8

Mountain or the beach?

I think I like both, well I live in Limón, but I usually don’t go to the beach often, part of my family lives in a small town in Guanacaste, Nicoya and it's like mountain so I love spending time over there with my family, is like a detox in the mountain.

Do you practice any sports (adventure, extreme, endurance)?

Some time ago, when I was in school I played soccer on the school team, I was the captain, I also did rhythmic gymnastics, but currently I only do exercises to strengthen my back.

Which kind of music do you like?

I think I have a varied taste, I like pop, R&B, salsa, soul, reggae, ballads, and reggaeton, some rancheras are not bad from time to time haha

What are your top books of all the time?

  1. The book thief
  2. The fault in our stars
  3. 50 shades of grey trilogy
  4. To all the boys i´ve loved before

  1. To All The Boys (the trilogy)
  2. Twilight (all the saga)
  3. Grown Ups
  4. 50 shades of Grey
  5. The Fault In Our Stars
  6. (All the christmas movies)

Which is the best part of being a Journalist?

Investigate issues that society simply ignores and be the voice of minorities.

What are your goals for this year?

Graduate and officially become a journalist, finish my bachelor's degree and get a job in my area.

Writing and reading about our team members is very interesting. It's a way to keep them close, without necessarily working on the same tasks. Lots of blogging to come, stay tuned.
